Cyriel Dessers scored the only goal as Panathinaikos beat Volos 1-0 away at the Panthessaliko Stadium on Sunday 25 October in the Greek Super League.
Panathinaikos FC's match report says Dessers finished Andrews Tetteh's cross at the far post in the 46th minute after a first half in which the visitors hit the post and were denied by goalkeeper Siabanis. Ta Nea and FIFA's match centre confirm the 0-1 result.
The club says it was Dessers' ninth goal of the season and his fourth consecutive match with a goal, after strikes against Borac, Asteras and Kairat. Panathinaikos stayed top of the table with a fourth straight win, three days after beating Kairat 5-1.
Jacob Nestrup's side managed the one-goal lead after a long trip from Almaty. Dessers continues to press for Super Eagles recognition ahead of Nigeria's November window.
