Harry Kane won the 2026 men's Ballon d'Or at a ceremony in London on Monday 26 October. He is the first English winner since Michael Owen in 2001, and the fifth Englishman to win the award.
Kylian Mbappé finished second and Lamine Yamal third. Kane becomes the first Bayern Munich player to win the Ballon d'Or since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.
BBC Sport reports Kane scored 61 goals in 51 club matches for Bayern last season, a club record for a single campaign. Including England, that was 73 goals and eight assists in 65 matches.
He won despite Bayern exiting the Champions League in the semi-finals and England going out of the World Cup in the semi-finals. Alexia Putellas won the women's Ballon d'Or for a third time.
