Lazio beat Sassuolo 6-2 away at the Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore on Tuesday 27 October, ESPN and ANSA report, moving alone to the top of Serie A on 25 points (8-1-0) ahead of Inter's midweek fixture at Venezia.

Kenneth Taylor opened the scoring in the second minute. Kristian Thorstvedt equalised for Sassuolo in the seventh minute, but Gustav Isaksen (13') and Romano Floriani (16') — Floriani's first Serie A goal — made it 3-1.

Thorstvedt was sent off in the 31st minute for a foul on Mattia Zaccagni. Sebastiano Esposito pulled Sassuolo back to 3-2 in the 43rd minute before Zaccagni restored the two-goal cushion in first-half stoppage time (45+1').

In the second half Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Turati saved penalties from Zaccagni (50') and Davide Frattesi (61'), ANSA reports. Tijjani Noslin still scored twice, in the 55th and 65th minutes, for a 6-2 final score.

ESPN lists Sassuolo 2, Lazio 6 at full time. Lazio stay unbeaten in the league; Sassuolo sit on eight points from nine matches.
