Alexia Putellas won the 2026 Ballon d'Or Féminin for a record-equalling third time at the ceremony in London on Monday 26 October. She previously won in 2021 and 2022.
BBC Sport reports she equals Spain team-mate Aitana Bonmatí on three crowns. The past six women's Ballons d'Or have been won by the Spanish pair. Ewa Pajor finished second and Manchester City's Khadija Shaw third.
Putellas captained Barcelona to a Champions League title as part of a quadruple in 2025-26, then joined Women's Super League side London City Lionesses in July. BBC Sport says she scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions last season.
She joins Harry Kane, who won the men's Ballon d'Or the same night, as the 2026 winners.
