Both Old Firm clubs dropped points in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday 28 October. Celtic drew 2-2 at home to Dundee United and Rangers drew 2-2 at Hearts, so Celtic stay four points clear at the top, the SPFL and BBC Sport report.

Rangers manager Derek McInnes was booed on his first game back at Tynecastle since leaving Hearts for Ibrox in June, Sky Sports reports. Kevin Kelsy put Rangers ahead on 16 minutes, finishing past Beau Reus after a pass from Naderi.

Hearts turned the game around early in the second half. Cláudio Braga bundled in after a free-kick on 48 minutes and Calvin Miller made it 2-1 on 57 minutes after Braga's deflected shot fell to him. Defender Olwethu Makhanya headed in Badredine Bouanani's free-kick on 89 minutes to level, and Dujon Sterling then had a late chance to win it, but Reus saved. The crowd at Tynecastle Park was 18,692, BBC Sport reports.

At Celtic Park, Camilo Durán gave Martin O'Neill's side an early lead. Dundee United replied twice in three minutes, through a Zachary Sapsford header on 28 minutes and a Neil Farrugia finish on 31. Liam Scales headed Celtic level on 65 minutes, and United goalkeeper Jack Walton later saved from Mika Baur at close range, Sky Sports reports.

Celtic have 28 points from 11 games, Rangers 24 and Hearts 20, according to the ESPN table. Dundee are fourth on 17 after Ashley Hay scored twice in a 3-1 home win over Kilmarnock, who drop to the bottom. Falkirk won 1-0 at Aberdeen through Ben Krauhaus for their third win in a row and move into the top six.

Nigerian forward Ibrahim Said scored Motherwell's equaliser in a 2-2 draw at St Johnstone. Sky Sports describes how he turned, held off a challenge and went past two players before firing high into the net on 34 minutes. Tawanda Maswanhise put Motherwell ahead early in the second half, ending a six-game losing run, but Josh Campbell headed a stoppage-time equaliser for St Johnstone.

In Paisley, St Mirren and Hibernian drew 1-1. Marko Ivezic scored for Hibs on 78 minutes before a Jason Kerr own goal five minutes later, ESPN's match data shows.
