Bologna beat AC Milan 4-2 at San Siro on Wednesday 28 October, ending Milan's unbeaten start to the Serie A season. Samuel Mbangula scored a hat-trick, ESPN and Il Messaggero report. The game kicked off at 18:30 WAT.
Mbangula put Bologna ahead early from a Nadir Zortea cross. Alphadjo Cissé then scored twice to turn the game around for Milan, the second from close range after a Fikayo Tomori cross on 27 minutes.
Bologna came back in the second half. Davide Bartesaghi turned the ball into his own net to make it 2-2 on the hour, and Mbangula scored again two minutes later. He completed his hat-trick late on, set up by Jens Odgaard. Il Messaggero says Milan protested a contact on Francesco Camarda early in that move, but referee Juan Luca Sacchi let play go on.
Milan stay on 18 points. Bologna move up to 11 and have now won all three league games since Raffaele Palladino took over from Domenico Tedesco.
Inter needed two Venezia own goals in two minutes to win 2-0 at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo. Matías Moreno turned a low Marcus Thuram cross into his own goal around 80 minutes, and Redouane Halhal then deflected in a Carlos Augusto header from a Hakan Çalhanoğlu corner, TuttoMercatoWeb reports. Cristian Chivu's side are now level with Lazio on 25 points, with both teams having played nine games.
Parma and Udinese drew 0-0 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye spilled a cross shortly before Parma were awarded a penalty for a James Abankwah handball, but he then saved Adrián Bernabé's spot kick on 69 minutes, ESPN and TuttoMercatoWeb report. The point ends Udinese's run of six straight league defeats, and both sides now have 5 points.
