Atalanta have named Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana in the 20-man squad for Fiorentina against Atalanta at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday 29 October, kick-off 20:45 CET — 19:45 WAT — the club said in its official call-up for Serie A Enilive matchday 9.
Sulemana and defender Giorgio Scalvini completed the full group session at the Centro Bortolotti before the team left for Florence, Atalanta's English-language squad note confirmed on 28 October. Gazzetta dello Sport and ANSA both framed the pair as returns from injury. ANSA said Sulemana's call-up is his first for an official match this season after a second-degree medial collateral ligament injury to the left knee sustained on 8 August in a pre-season friendly win over Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen; Scalvini is back after a low-grade left hamstring strain from the 12 October home game against Venezia.
Sarri still travels with a long injury list. The club said Scamacca, Bellanova and Pompei underwent treatment, while Kolašinac, Raspadori, Kessie, Kossounou and Hien combined treatment with gym work — eight absentees Gazzetta also listed. The named 20 include Carnesecchi, Sportiello and Sonzogni in goal; Bernasconi, Kristensen, Idele, Obrić, Plaia, Scalvini and Zappacosta in defence; Éderson, Elmas, Gaetano, Pašalić, Samardžić and Zalewski in midfield; and De Ketelaere, Rowe, Krstović and Sulemana among the attackers.
Fiorentina arrive needing points after a difficult start under returning coach Paolo Vanoli. Sports Mole's team-news package, published ahead of the round, said the Viola had lost six of their first eight league games and were winless in seven Serie A home matches dating back to the end of last season, after a late 2-1 defeat at Inter in which they led before conceding in stoppage time and from a 98th-minute penalty. Atalanta have taken four points from their last six league matches and conceded 14 in that stretch, the same preview package said, after a 4-4 home draw with Frosinone.
For African readers the story is Sulemana's availability, not a predicted scoreline. The Ghana international has not featured in a competitive Atalanta match this season; a place in Sarri's travelling party for the Franchi is the first concrete step back after more than two and a half months out. TuSport will report whether he starts, comes off the bench or stays unused once the teamsheets and result are confirmed — without inventing minutes or a final score.
Kick-off lands at 19:45 WAT on Thursday night. Until the whistle, the desk angle from Florence is clear: Ghana's Sulemana is back in an Atalanta squad thinned by eight injuries for a relegation-zone Fiorentina home date — an African availability story the Serie A wire rarely leads with on its own.
